ZZ Bedroom
Industrial Design. Monochrome. Sleek. These are words rarely used to describe the design of a children’s bedroom. At the free rein of our client however, we took the opportunity to incorporate these elements into the bedroom of two teenage boys. Our main aim was to accommodate the children’s’ hobbies into the space, like painting, football, cricket, guitar, piano, etc, which was done successfully. In order for the room to have a spacious feel during the day, we installed a folding Murphy bed.
The highlight wall is a white, exposed brick wall with black industrial accents. The design on the bathroom door is a magnified doodle by one of the children. Contrasting wooden study tables add a bit of warmth to the space. Black pipes and metal lights on the ceiling further accentuate the industrial look.
